Hiking With Friends

Recently, Luke, and Grace, and I went on a three day hiking trip with our church youth group. It rained off and on for all three days but was still very fun.

The first day we drove to the hiking place, put our packs on and got on the trail. That was the hardest day. We hiked six miles that day. That night we got to the camp site and set up our tents. I shared a tent with two girls. After dinner the two girls and I were feeling tired so we said goodnight and got in our tent. However, once we were in a sleeping bag we got bored so we started chatting about stuff. We started talking about horror movies and one of the girls told us in detail about a very scary movie, I started feeling creeped out so I said why don't we talk about something happy. The girl who was telling about the movies immediately said, "Butterflies!" Weirdly enough we did start talking about butterflies.

The second day we hiked around three miles. It was a lot easer for me because the first day I carried a tent attached to my pack, but the second day someone else carried the tent. Plus we got to the camp site quicker that day- where we sang around the fire, and played cards in our tent.

The last day we put our packs in the car and hiked to see a few waterfalls, then we got in the cars and went home.

It was very fun but as soon as we got home I jumped in the shower.

Hyper Girls

Last Sunday night, I invited two little girls to sit with me, one was a girl that I baby sit, and the other was a visitor who was a friend of the little girl. Lots of things happened.

The little girl was using my note pad to draw pictures of people with giant ears, or pig noses, or weird hair. She was giving these people names like "Mr. Squishy pants" and whispering loudly to her friend about the funny noses and silly names.

The visitor had a colorful striped sweater on and at the beginning of the service she decided to take it off, it was tight on her so when she pulled her shirt came up, too high up.

The little girl with my note pad started writing the ABC's, one giant letter on each page, with a pen. I was not very happy to find out how many blank pages there were left.

The last thing was while the visitor was looking the other way the little girl started measuring who was taller.

That was a memorable night.

Band Day

We do lots of things every week, today is band class. My sisters and I all play different instruments, my younger sister Rebekah plays saxophone, Luke (my older brother) used to play sax but he quit, my older sister Grace plays tuba (if you dont know what a tuba is it is a big instrument that plays deep notes), I play percussion. That means any type of bell or drum.

I used to play flute, that was pretty fun. Once, when I was in a performance playing flute and was placed right in front of the percussion players, the girl next to me and I started joking that we were going to put ear plugs in because the drummers were so loud. Now, I find out that is exactly what drummers say about flutes.

Band is very fun, but to do well you have to practice. I don't like to practice very much. I mean every now and then I get a good practice in but mostly I play songs that are fun to play, or songs I am really good, at or I day dream about that party tomorrow, or what I'm going to wear to church, or that funny line in that movie.

I need help.

About Me

This blog is about my teen years, I am 13 and I am home schooled, we have three pets; one fish, and two cats. We are a Christian family, I have lot's of good friends and four brothers, and two sisters.

I love to chat but I hate to talk on the phone, I like to read action/adventure books, I like; comedy, romance, or action movies. I hate anything that scares me. I once went to a haunted wood with some friends and I saw a shadow and ran out.
